MTG Spreads Fake News From Sanctioned Russian Site

The Meidas Touch reports:

Marge Greene posted an article today on Twitter from a Russian state propaganda organization that has been sanctioned for deliberately spreading disinformation to interfere with US elections.

Greene cited the article as “proof” that Ukraine is allegedly the most corrupt country in the world in an effort to persuade fellow Republicans to vote against aid to Ukraine.

Which is exactly what Putin hoped to accomplish with the article. This article repeats the lies that Zelensky and his close associates have been purchasing yachts and mansions around the world with US aid money.

Read the full article. As I noted on Monday, the claim that Zelensky has secretly purchased yachts worth $75 million has been spread by prominent cultists including a narrator for PragerU propaganda videos. Their source is a claim made by German extremist Kim “Dotcom” Schmitz, who has been arrested multiple times for embezzlement and computer fraud. In 2003, Schmitz was running the world’s largest video piracy site. Schmitz had a major role in spreading the Seth Rich conspiracy.
