McConnell Defies The Cult In Call For Aid To Ukraine

The Messenger reports:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., delivered remarks on the Senate floor on Monday in which he called for lawmakers to support an aid package that would provide funding for Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan, and the southern border.

“The bottom line is simple: We don’t have the luxury of addressing glaring threats to our national security one at a time,” the senator said. “Crises don’t solve themselves just because Washington can’t muster the political will to address them.”

A number of House Republicans have opposed the linking of Israel and Ukraine aid and pushed for strong border reforms. Schumer said Biden’s aid package will face its “biggest hurdle” in the House.
