The Messenger reports:
Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., has brought his quarrel with ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to the big screen in a documentary-style short film titled “Gaveled Out: Return of the People’s House,” which he posted to X on Friday.
The 13-minute movie starts in January with McCarthy’s difficult election to the speakership where he was shown asking Gaetz to vote for him and moves through Rep. Mike Johnson’s, R-La., rise to the gavel in October.
“I made all of you a promise that we would have a Speaker of the House who was more conservative and more honest, and we got our guy,” Gaetz says in a voiceover towards the end of the short film. “It was so touching to see this man of God talking about how we can fulfill America’s great vision together.”
