Dozens of local residents in northern Washington recently voiced their strong opposition to a Biden administration plan to release grizzly bears, an apex predator, in a federally-managed forest area near their communities.
More than 200 local residents attended a public comment session in northern Washington hosted by the Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and National Parks Service (NPS), with roughly 50 speaking in opposition of the federal grizzly bear proposal and just six voicing their support.
Under the proposal, the federal government would release up to seven grizzly bears annually into the North Cascades ecosystem over the course of the next five to 10 years. The federal government’s overarching goal would be to establish a grizzly bear population of roughly 200 bears in the coming decades.
Jeanine Pirro rants: “So Joe Biden is about to terrorize a quiet community by releasing an apex predator. Residents are revolting over his plan to reintroduce grizzly bears to Washington’s North Cascades forest. The bears will work their way from the forest to food and water near where you live. What about the farmers and their crops and livestock?”
Jesse Watters replies: “So this is ideology over biology. Big game hunters – men with guns – have managed the apex predators for quite some time very effectively. What Biden wants to do is get these guys with guns out of there and let all of the grizzly bears take care of the elk and deer and antelope. Don’t not work. People will get eaten!”
Greg Gutfeld celebrates: “I love how we tied this to Joe Biden. Well done, producers, I’m gonna play. So North Cascades forest is now a [effeminate voice] sanctuary city for grizzlys, right? How soon before they march for free salmon and vote Democrat? It will also make murder look like an accident. ‘Hey honey, let’s go hiking.'”
