Mediaite reports:
Ex-Trump aide Katrina Pierson testified that that it was “hysterical” to see former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) lectern stolen during the January 6 Capitol riot at a court hearing on Trump’s ballot eligibility in Colorado. Pierson served as spokeswoman for Trump’s campaign in 2016 and as a senior advisor in 2020.
Pierson was confronted over a text she sent on January 7 to Trump aide Max Miller, telling him, “You have to admit that seeing Nancy Pelosi’s lectern being carried away by Trump supporter is pretty damn funny.” She stood by that evaluation on Wednesday, affirming that “Yes, it was hysterical.”
Read the full article. Pierson also testified that Trump had requested 10,000 National Guard troops to defend the Capitol before the riot. That claim has been debunked by multiple former Trump officials. Pierson, you may recall, once described slavery as “good history” for the United States during a wild appearance on Fox News. A convicted shoplifter, Pierson has a long history of insane claims and outright lies, including that Obama got us into the Afghanistan war, which began in 2001.
