“Burn Gay Books” Hater Booted From Virginia County School Board In Clean Sweep For Democrats [VIDEO]

First, a reminder about this nutjob:

A Spotsylvania County school board member accused of increasing pay for the former interim superintendent pleaded not guilty Friday morning.

Former school board chair and current member Kirk Twigg is being charged with one felony count of forging a public record and one misdemeanor count of tampering with a county record.

School board member Dawn Shelley told 7News she reported concerns to Virginia State Police last fall, saying she believed Twigg broke the law when he allegedly changed the contract after that meeting without approval or consent from the rest of the school board.

Here’s when he first appeared here:

The Spotsylvania County School Board has directed staff to begin removing books that contain “sexually explicit” material from library shelves and report on the number of books that have been removed at a special called meeting next week. The directive came after a parent raised concerns at the School Board’s meeting Monday about books available through the Riverbend High School’s digital library app.

The board voted 6–0 to order the removal. Two board members, Courtland representative Rabih Abuismail and Livingston representative Kirk Twigg, said they would like to see the removed books burned. “I think we should throw those books in a fire,” Abuismail said, and Twigg said he wants to “see the books before we burn them so we can identify within our community that we are eradicating this bad stuff.”

And here is yesterday’s result:

The Spotsylvania County school board has faced growing public controversy after heated discussions over transgender student policies and the accusation of perjury against former board president Kirk Twigg. Twigg lost his bid for re-election Tuesday night. In addition, all four GOP-backed candidates lost their school board races.
