Most men and women voted yes on Issue 1, according to preliminary exit polls, with women doing so by a slightly wider margin. Exit polls found more than 8 in 10 Black voters supported establishing a right to abortion in the state’s constitution, as did more than 7 in 10 Hispanic voters. Support was more divided among White voters, who made up a large majority of the electorate. Age was a major dividing line, with young voters overwhelmingly voting yes on Issue 1 while middle-aged and older voters were more divided.
