A manhunt is underway in Helmetta as police and the FBI are searching for a wanted man who fled on foot into a wooded area, officials say. The FBI said in a statement that it is looking for Gregory Yetman, 46, of Helmetta.
He is described as a white man in his 40s wearing a red jacket and a ball cap. Yetman is wanted in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Officials say they were attempting to execute an arrest warrant when the suspect ran away. They say Yetman may be armed. The search sent Spotswood Public Schools in a shelter in place. There is a heavy police presence in the area.
