LDS Nursery Worker Arrested On Child Porn Charges

Utah’s Cache Valley Daily reports:

A 46-year-old Lewiston man has been arrested for downloading child pornography over the internet for years, according to law enforcement. Kent Daniel Prestwich was booked Tuesday, Oct. 10, into the Cache County Jail after state agents served a warrant to his home.

According to arrest documents, Prestwich allegedly told investigators he had been viewing child sexual abuse material for approximately 15 years. He also admitted to using specific search terms that he knew would obtain files of children being sexually abused.

Agents with the Utah Attorney General’s Office requested Prestwich be held in jail without bail, noting he is a serious danger to himself. They also described how the Lewiston home was “covered in animal feces and garbage, making it difficult to walk through,” the arrest affidavit detailed.
