The Washington Post reports:
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) has lost a third vote for House speaker. Speaking at a news conference, Jordan said that he hopes to be elected Friday, despite falling short of the majority of votes needed in the full chamber Tuesday and Wednesday. Given Jim Jordan’s key role in Donald Trump’s election subversion scheme, Rachel Maddow points out, “it becomes basically an open question as to whether a House under Jordan’s leadership would ever certify the election results of an election in which Donald Trump ran but lost.” pic.twitter.com/uYtRpLExZr

There we have it. Jim Jordan just lost his THIRD round to become the next Speaker of the House with more than enough detractors voting against his bid. Meanwhile, every Democrat is standing united around & voting for Hakeem Jeffries. Never trust Republicans with power ever again.

Jake Tapper with some truth about Jim Jordan, “Not having the votes has never stopped Mr. Jordan before. Remember he didn’t give up when Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. A major player in the conspiracy to overturn the people’s vote and keep him in office.” pic.twitter.com/iZ6X7pawPB

Kevin McCarthy lost votes for 9 rounds in January, and never gained 1 vote until the 12th round, when 14 of the 20 flipped. Jim Jordan has only been voted on twice, and lost a net of 1 vote. He will win if we keep voting.
