Nikki Haley criticized Donald Trump’s recent attacks against former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, calling them “inappropriate,” but not disqualifying. The former president claimed last month that some of Milley’s actions would have been punishable by “death” in another time.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” anchor Kristen Welker asked Haley, a former UN Ambassador and 2024 Republican presidential candidate, on Sunday if these remarks by Trump were “disqualifying” or undermined national security. “I just think it’s irresponsible. I mean, you don’t need to say things like that,” Haley said.
