Colorado Springs’ CBS affiliate reports:
A former youth pastor is now staring down prison time after he was found guilty of sexually exploiting a child. As Fountain police reported last year, Jeffrey Williams was arrested in November of last year for allegedly sending sexually explicit material to one of the kids who attended his youth group.
He was booked into the El Paso County jail on charges of obscenity and unlawful sexual communication in a position of trust. On Oct. 13, 2023, one year to the day after police began their investigation, Williams was convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor – possession and sexual exploitation of a minor – enticement.
Read the full article. Williams, whose youth pastor gig was with the Salvation Army, made our running tally shortly after its launch in November 2022. We’ll hear about him again when he is sentenced.
