The video posted by Trump opens with Letitia James waving a pride flag along with text reading, “New York embarrassment” and claims the New York Attorney General “is politically targeting President Trump.” The video also closes with the same pride parade footage with text claiming, “Letitia James is abusing her office.” The use of pride parade footage to attack Letitia James is homophobic, and is designed to generate sympathy from Trump’s anti-LGBTQ base. The video was one of four video attacks against James posted by Trump.
