House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Thursday dared members from his own party who have been threatening to oust him to bring a motion to vacate to the House floor.
According to a source in the room during a House Republican Conference meeting Thursday morning, the speaker said he’s not scared of the motion, which — if approved — would vacate him from the No. 1 leadership post.
“Move the f—ing motion,” he dared his critics. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., confirmed that McCarthy had taunted threatening colleagues in the meeting.
