Kelly: Automatic Voter Registration Is “Un-American”

“I don’t think this is good. You are automatically registered to vote unless you do something to stop that, unless you choose not to be, otherwise, you’re automatically registered.

“You know, on election night, then there will always be a pool of votes, a pool of registered voters that potentially they could represent voting one way or another. You don’t want to do it this way.

“Some people think, oh, a hundred percent registration or more voter turnout, ninety percent, that would be the best. Saddam Hussein had universal voter turnout. That wasn’t good. This seems un-American.

“I’m sorry, as a citizen, it’s not, ‘Oh, I’m here at the DMV, I’ll do this as well.’ No, something should be separate and deliberate, not automatic. You’ve got to make a decision.” – Newmax host Greg Kelly.
