Longtime Price Is Right host Bob Barker had been quietly suffering from Alzheimer’s disease at the time of his death, TMZ reports according to the legendary TV host’s death certificate, which the outlet said cited the disease as the cause. Barker passed away at his Hollywood Hills home on August 26 at the age of 99.

Barker had never revealed publicly that he was battling the disease, but TMZ reported, according to the death certificate, that he had been dealing with it for “years” before his death last month. Barker had taken some falls over the years and had been treated previously for skin cancer as well as back issues in 2018.
