The Washington Examiner reports:
The Heritage Foundation filed two lawsuits against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Monday to force his office to turn over records related to its investigation into former President Donald Trump. The lawsuits come after Bragg failed to comply with two Freedom of Information Law, or FOIL, requests relating to his communications with the Justice Department, the White House, and any Democratic lawmakers regarding his prosecution of Trump.
Heritage Foundation, a Washington, D.C.-based conservative think tank, has sued Bragg under suspicions that he and his office coordinated or communicated with the Justice Department, the White House and Rep. Daniel Goldman, D-N.Y., about the prosecution. Heritage also alleged that Bragg obtained pro-bono assistance from major law firms and is asking the court to force Bragg to provide documents related to those firms and bar his team from “seeking costs and fees for the request at issue in this case.”
