DOJ Rejects Jordan’s Demand For Info On Trump Probe

Congress Minutes reports:

The Justice Department largely rejected House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan’s request for information related to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation involving former President Donald Trump.

The Justice Department, responding to that request on Friday, told Jordan that he was requesting “non-public information about an ongoing criminal investigation and prosecution by a Special Counsel.”

DOJ warned that disclosing the information could also violate laws, court orders or interfere with the investigation. In addition the classified documents probe, Smith is also investigating matters related attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
