Yahoo News reports:
The Washington, D.C. home of right-wing activist Steve Bannon appears to have been swatted again. Police and rescue workers responded to a shooting call at Bannon’s Thursday morning.
“At approximately 10:32am, MPD responded to the 200 block of A Street NE, for the report of a shooting,” D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department told the Daily News. “Preliminarily, this appears to be a false call. MPD searched the area and nothing was found.”
The 69-year-old podcaster’s home has previously been targeted in pranks where police and rescue crews were dispatched. In July 2022, cops responded to “a report of an individual with a mental health crisis” claiming to have shot someone, however police found no evidence of gunfire at Bannon’s Northeast quadrant rowhouse.
Bannon reacts:
“They’re criminals and here’s why — they fear this audience. They understand that this is ascendant. And what they’re gonna try to do is take any voice, whether it’s Donald Trump or Tucker Carlson or Steve Bannon of the War Room, they’re gonna try to eliminate all those voices. They understand that an informed electorate is an electorate that will demand consent to the governed. And the governed right now are not consenting to this, whether it’s on the southern border of this country, or what other investigations.”
