The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports:
Dennis Kucinich, the former Cleveland mayor and U.S. congressman, has joined Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign. Kennedy, the son of the former U.S. attorney general and environmental lawyer who’s become well known as an anti-vaccine activist, is mounting a longshot challenge against President Joe Biden in the 2024 Democratic primary. Kucinich, who ran for president in 2004 and 2008, will manage the campaign.
Kucinich is one of Cleveland’s most memorable political figures. He was the city’s mayor from 1977 through 1979. He represented Cleveland in Congress from 1997 until 2013. Kucinich ran for Ohio governor in 2018, losing to eventual Democratic nominee Richard Cordray in the primary election. He also ran for Cleveland mayor in 2021, but placed third in a seven-candidate primary race.
Read the full article. I’m guessing that it’s not an accident that the Plain Dealer chose to use a photo of Kucinich wearing a mask.
In an interview with https://t.co/a4YA4W2Cro and The Plain Dealer, Kucinich said he has known Kennedy for more than 30 years, and called him an “outstanding environmentalist.” https://t.co/Y8RTO50bPt
