Elon Musk Bemoans “Terrible Timing” In Buying Twitter

“It remains to be seen as to whether this was financially smart. Currently, it is not. We just revalued the company at less than half of the acquisition price. My timing was terrible for when the offer was made because it was right before advertising plummeted.

“So I must be a real genius here. My timing is amazing since I bought it for at least twice as much as it should’ve been bought for. But some things are priceless.” – Elon Musk, taking no blame for “plummeting” ad revenue.

Later he and Tucker Carlson shared a big laugh about the thousands of fired Twitter employees. Musk: “If you’re not trying to run some sort of glorified activist organization and you don’t care that much about censorship, then you can really let go of a lot of people, it turns out.”
