From Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders:
This evening, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders spoke with FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell to discuss the state and federal response to the catastrophic tornadoes that hit Arkansas today. The Governor described the widespread damage this storm caused to areas across the state, including Little Rock, Jacksonville, Sherwood, and Wynne. The Governor requested direct federal assistance from the federal government and Administrator Criswell committed that FEMA would work quickly to get Arkansas the resources it needs for recovery efforts. Governor Sanders thanked Administrator Criswell for her commitment to aid Arkansans.
Good to know the governor of Arkansas doesn’t need FEMA or any other federal assistance, or does she expect the people in her state to line up at the Mississippi River for help ?@SarahHuckabee pic.twitter.com/AI83s3DUkz

It’s not the damage that happened, it’s the heroes that were born out of the tragedy. #ArkansasStrong pic.twitter.com/U9k60Bp9LR
