Youth Pastor Arrested On Child Sex, Child Porn Charges

The Quincy Police Department says an investigation began in January on Isaiah W. Mikkelson after law enforcement was contacted by a parent of a juvenile that had disclosed possible sexual abuse by a Youth Director/Pastor, at Hope Lutheran Church. Police say during the investigation, multiple juveniles were interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center and alleged abuse by Mikkelson and that the abuse occurred at the church.

On Feb. 24, an arrest warrant was issued for Mikkeslon for multiple counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Assault, involving several juvenile victims while Mikkelson held a position of trust, authority, or supervision over them. On Thursday, Mikkelson appeared in the Adams County Court where two additional charges of Child Pornography were filed and his bond was ultimately raised to $250,000.
