NBC News reports:
President Joe Biden on Tuesday delivers his second State of the Union address since taking office. It’s also the first time he will address Congress since Republicans won control of the House. Biden is expected to use the speech, set for 9 p.m. ET, to make the case for his re-election, even though he has yet to announce his 2024 plans.
The White House touted the administration’s continuing work to fight cancer and the opioid epidemic and support veterans and mental health initiatives ahead of the address. The White House made changes to the speech after a suspected Chinese spy balloon traversing the U.S. was shot down over the weekend.
