Indicted QAnon Ex-Clerk Runs For Colorado GOP Chair

The Denver Post reports:

At least six people — including indicted former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters and two former Congressional candidates — are vying to become the next chair of the Colorado Republican Party, three months after an Election Day beating sank the party to a historic nadir.

Peters’s candidacy comes less than a year after she lost a primary bid to challenge Secretary of State Jena Griswold. Her trial was initially set to begin in early March, shortly before the state party election on March 11.

But Colorado Public Radio reported that the trial will likely be delayed until the early summer. Peters, who did not return messages seeking comment Monday, is facing six charges after she was indicted for allegedly allowing an outside party access to election equipment.

Peters last appeared on JMG two weeks ago when she claimed that the deep state had murdered two relatives of her former employees in order to coerce their testimony against her.

In fact, both of those people died in car accidents and neither crash was a hit-and-run as Peters claims.

Last August, Peters crowdfunded a failed recount in her bid to become Colorado’s secretary of state.

Despite raising $351,000 with the help of Steve Bannon, the recount still showed her losing the GOP primary by 88,000 votes.

It might seem unlikely that Peters would win election as state GOP chair, but the Michigan GOP just elected a QAnon nutbag who says Democrats literally eat babies.
