Notorious Cultist Arrested In Connecticut DUI Crash

The Connecticut Insider reports:

Robert Hyde, the two-time congressional candidate known for his role in the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump, was arrested early Sunday morning on a driving under the influence charge. Bloomfield police officers took the 43-year-old lobbyist and businessman into custody after a one-car crash around 2:20 a.m.

Hyde, a Republican, gained notoriety in 2020 when messages released by congressional investigators as part of an impeachment inquiry showed he communicated with Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas. The messages suggested Hyde was involved in a secretive effort to conduct surveillance of the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.

Hyde withdrew from the 2020 US House race and did not qualify for the 2022 US Senate Republican primary.

He appeared on JMG multiple times in 2020, most recently when he claimed that US House investigators were “trying to set me up” when they requested emails and text messages related to his alleged stalking of the then-US ambassador to Ukraine.

According to the above-linked report, in 2019 Connecticut State Police seized Hyde’s firearms after a woman filed a protective order against him.
