NJ Youth Pastor Gets 27 Years On Child Sex Charges

A youth pastor at a church in Burlington County pleaded guilty this week to blackmailing four underage boys into performing sex acts online, which he recorded for his enjoyment, authorities said Thursday.

Sean Higgins, 32, of Palmyra, pleaded guilty Tuesday in New Jersey Superior Court to four counts of endangering the welfare of children in exchange for a 27-year sentence in state prison, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw.

Bradshaw said Higgins adopted the persona of a teenage girl on Snapchat and Instagram to meet young boys, introducing himself as “Julie Miller” and sending a photo of an unidentified teenage girl. In return, Higgins received nude photos the boys took of themselves, the prosecutor said in a statement.
