Tony Perkins: Send Money To Fight “Queer” Disney

Via email from hate group leader Tony Perkins:

Even with the Christmas holiday fast approaching, the team at FRC is focused every day on protecting Americans’ First Amendment rights–your God-given rights.

That includes both your freedom to hold and to live in accordance with your religious beliefs and the freedom to proclaim truth in the public square about how the wisdom of Scripture applies to critical issues facing our nation.

This year, the collusion of Big Government and Big Business was exposed… and FRC pushed back.

After Disney execs revealed plans to “queer” kids’ entertainment–and opposed a state bill to ensure schools focus on education instead of a radical LGBT agenda–Florida legislators pulled the entertainment company’s special tax carve-out deal.

Such a culture-shifting moment came about when a diverse coalition stood firm on principle and fearlessly voiced our values. Airing on almost 800 radio outlets and several TV networks, FRC’s Washington Watch raised the alarm to the grassroots.

Families started walking away from the entertainment magnate in mass. People canceled their vacations, dropped their subscriptions, and generally turned their backs on the 99-year-old franchise.

After Disney’s stocks crashed to their lowest level in nine years, raising new concerns about the company’s leadership, the board of directors shocked the industry and media by removing CEO Bob Chapek on Sunday, November 20.

But instead of learning their lesson, Disney is right back where they started: tapping outspoken partisan, Bob Iger, to lead the company.

It remains to be seen whether he can rein in the extremist tendencies that got his company in hot water in the first place.

For the conflicts ahead, we need more parents and people of faith to be equipped with a biblical worldview–one that will motivate them to stand.

To expand our work to inform and equip the faithful, can you help FRC with a generous year-end donation today?

Disney’s debacle illustrates that when we stand together and speak truth, we can make a difference.

No matter how dark our world gets, I encourage you to remember the words of Jesus recorded in the gospel of John: “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32)

No matter what the culture, the Congress, or the Court says, we will stand on the unchanging Word of God and proclaim His truth that changes hearts, transforms minds, and saves souls.

Thank you for standing faithfully with us in prayer and partnership at this critical time for America!
