The Daily Beast reports:
Former GOP congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik’s defamation lawsuit against right-wing provocateur Candace Owens, who accused Klacik of being a strip club “madame” who spent campaign funds on cocaine, has been tossed out by a Tennessee judge with prejudice.
Not only is Klacik unable to file similar complaints against Owens going forward, but the judge also granted the right-wing personality’s petition to dismiss Klacik’s complaint pursuant to the Tennessee Public Participation Act, the state’s anti-SLAPP law.
Klacik is now required to pay Owens a total of $115,000, which includes all attorney fees and discretionary costs. The one-time rising Republican star has 60 days to pay the majority of the judgment.
Read the full article. Klacik first appeared on JMG in 2019 when Trump posted 19 tweets about her in a single day in response to her campaign videos claiming that late Rep. Elijah Cummings’ Baltimore district was a rat-infested “garbage dump.” It was later proven that Klacik’s videos showed the same single block over and over from different directions. Klacik lost the election to now-Rep. Kweisi Mfume by over 40 points.
Remember when failed pro-Trump congressional hopeful Kim Klacik sued Candace Owens for $20 million after Owens accused her of being a stripper madame?
Well, a court just threw out Klacik’s case with prejudice — and ordered her to pay Owens $115,000.https://t.co/FAgVgjLSKk
