DOJ Indicts “Wife Of Christ” For Blocking Manhattan Abortion Clinic: “We Are Gonna Terrorize This Place”

The New York Daily News reports:

Two anti-abortion activists known for creating chaos when they visit New York were indicted Friday [DOJ link] for blocking access to a lower Manhattan Planned Parenthood clinic, federal prosecutors said. Bevelyn Beatty Williams and Edmee Chavannes surrendered in their home state of Tennessee to face charges that they tried to stop women from getting into the center, which provide abortions and other reproductive services.

Williams — who’s originally from Staten Island and describes herself on Instagram as the “wife of Christ” — has live streamed many of her alleged antics. “This is going to be a wonderful day. We are going to terrorize this place. And I want the manager to hear me say that,” she told her followers, according to the indictment. “And we’re going to make sure we terrorize you guys so good.”

Both women face five years on the blocking charge. Williams faces an additional ten years for allegedly “using force resulting in bodily harm.” The Proud Boys have acted as security for the pair at some protests.

Williams, a fixture at QAnon conventions, appeared on JMG in 2020 after dumping buckets of black paint on a Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower and for defacing similar murals in Brooklyn and Harlem.

In 2018, Williams was convicted of assaulting a transgender woman in the restroom of a Bangor nightclub during her failed campaign for the Maine House.

From an archived news item: “Between 2009 and 2010 while in her late teens in Charlotte, North Carolina, Beatty [Williams] was arrested on a series of charges including assault with a deadly weapon, felony larceny, trespassing and conspiracy felony, according to criminal records.”

In a September 2022 interview with Dinesh D’Douza, Williams declared that the founders of Black Lives Matter are “witches and lesbians.”
