Democrats Elect Raskin To Key Post On Investigations

Congress Minutes reports:

House Democrats voted Thursday to give Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) the party’s top spot on the Oversight Committee starting in January.

Because Democrats lost control of the House, Raskin will be the panel’s ranking member. But his win will put him at the forefront of the party’s day-in, day-out response to House GOP investigations.

His game plan: Raskin said Democrats’ role will be to be a “truth squad,” including dealing “with fake scandal de jure.”
