The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports:
A candidate running for a state House seat called 911 Monday morning after being assaulted at his Fayette County home in what would be the third time in two weeks he has had to call police to his residence.
Democrat Richard Ringer said he was bloodied and knocked unconscious by an attacker in his backyard around 5 a.m.
Mr. Ringer has also had two incidents of vandalism to his home that have occurred within the last two weeks. One, a threatening apparently election-related message spray-painted on his garage door and the other a brick thrown through a storm door window.

State Police confirmed to us they are investigating the incidents. Ringer says it started with graffiti on his garage a few weeks ago. From there it was a brick through the window to his back door. The suspect this morning was able to get away. pic.twitter.com/Jo6aWbeXzL
