Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday “that there is no room in the Republican Party for antisemitism or white supremacy.”
“And anyone meeting with people advocating that point of view, in my judgment, are highly unlikely to ever be elected president of the United States,” he said during a news conference.
When asked whether he would support Trump in 2024 if he wins the nomination, McConnell — who has previously said he would “absolutely” vote for Trump if he’s the 2024 nominee — reiterated his remarks: “That would apply to all of the leaders in the party who will be seeking offices,” McConnell said.
