Via email from the American Family Association:
This bill will empower extremists to sue, intimidate and silence anyone who disagrees with their personal views about marriage.
This bill is not about legalizing same-sex marriage. Every state already recognizes same-sex marriages and accepts same-sex marriage licenses issued by every other state.
The real purpose of this bill is to weaponize federal agencies, like the IRS, DOJ and FBI, to harass and target Christian schools, adoption agencies and social service organizations that hold sincere religious beliefs about traditional marriage.
Sen. Lummis of WY “has strayed with anguish” to vote for RMA. She seems to believe America’s tradition of religious tolerance leads to RMA. But RMA is not about tolerating different views, it’s about using power of the judiciary/lawsuits against Christian business owners, etc.

RMA amendment does not apply to: “services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods, or privileges for the solemnization or celebration of a marriage.” The question we have is about those activities outside of the “solemnization or celebration” of a marriage. e.g., Hiring?
