Gaetz: Lots Of Us Would “Rather Be Waterboarded” By Liz Cheney Than Vote For McCarthy As Speaker [VIDEO]

Matt Gaetz really doesn’t want McCarthy as Speaker:

I’ve heard people talk about Jim DeMint [as Speaker]. I’ve heard the name Tulsi Gabbard, someone who might actually bring us a few folks from the left who are tired of the corrupt ruling class in this town.

Right now, there are a lot of the establishment Republicans in denial believing that Kevin McCarthy can somehow become Speaker.

What I’m here to tell you is there are definitely at least five people — actually a lot more than that — who would rather be waterboarded by Liz Cheney than vote for Kevin McCarthy. And I’m one of them.

Gaetz also thinks it might be great to give former Speaker Newt Gingrich another shot. House rules do not require the Speaker to be a member of Congress. Gaetz, who says he’s flummoxed by MTG’s support for McCarthy, has previously vowed several times to put forward Trump as Speaker.
