Erickson To GOP: Anybody But “Opportunist” McCarthy

From right wing commentator Erick Erickson:

The House leader is well known to be devoid of principle. He is a political opportunist. He has shifted positions and courted coalitions over time, but that lack of principles and wind-blown drift are coming back to haunt him. After January 6, he loudly condemned Trump and then sought to memory hole it as the base still backed Trump.

Now, 13% of Republicans and a majority of independents are begging the GOP for a crazy free leadership of principled adults who offer stability. McCarthy as Speaker would be the GOP signaling to the voters they need that the GOP has heard nothing, learned nothing, and will offer nothing.
