Trump Lawyer Cries To Hannity After Losing Hillary Suit

The Daily Beast reports:

Trump lawyer Alina Habba ran to Fox News on Friday to complain about how a “Clinton judge” thoroughly dismantled Trump’s racketeering lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and others over what he claimed was a “malicious conspiracy to disseminate patently false and injurious information” regarding his 2016 campaign’s links to Russia.

Judge Donald Middlebrooks wrote that his court “is not the appropriate forum” for Trump to “flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto.” Habba’s response, as told to Sean Hannity: “Well what is the proper place for him?”

Newsweek reports:

In dismissing former President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against his 2016 presidential opponent Hillary Clinton, a Florida judge said on Friday that Trump’s lawyers could face consequences for the claims and legal contentions they made in the suit.

Throughout his ruling, Middlebrooks disputed numerous claims made by Trump and his lawyers, saying that many are “implausible because they lack any specific allegations which might provide factual support for the conclusions reached.”

“What the Amended Complaint lacks in substance and legal support it seeks to substitute with length, hyperbole, and the settling of scores and grievances,” Middlebrooks added.

CNBC reports:

The judge agreed with the defendants’ characterization of Trump’s lawsuit as “a series of disconnected political disputes that Plaintiff has alchemized into a sweeping conspiracy among the many individuals Plaintiff believes to have aggrieved him.”

Trump’s legal team “will immediately move to appeal this decision,” his attorney Alina Habba said in a statement Friday morning.

Middlebrooks’ order was “rife with erroneous applications of the law” and it ignored “numerous governmental investigations which substantiate” Trump’s conspiracy claims, Habba’s statement added.
