Pennsylvania Pastor Found Guilty Of Raping First Grader

The West Chester Patch reports:

A former teacher at West Chester Christian School was convicted of sexually assaulting a first-grader there in 2007.

Randy Lee Boston, 64, of Shickshinny, Luzerne County, was found guilty by a jury Wednesday in the Chester County Justice Center of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault of a person under 13, corruption of minors, and related charges.

The verdict followed a three-day trial before Chester County Judge Patrick Carmody. Boston awaits sentencing. The jury deliberated for about three hours Wednesday.

The Wilkes-Barre Times Leader reported last year:

Boston is the pastor of Bible Baptist Church, located at 43 Furnace St., Shickshinny, according to the church’s website.

Police interviewed the school’s current leadership, Pastor Daniel Brabson, who said that records confirmed that Boston was a teacher at the school at the same time the victim was a student there, according to records.

Brabson said that Boston did not typically interact with students lower than fifth grade, as he was not their teacher, but that he might have been involved for disciplinary reasons.
