Youth Pastor Arrested On Multiple Child Sex Charges

Fayetteville’s ABC affiliate reports:

A man was arrested on a charge of sexual indecency with a child in a case related to his time as a youth pastor at a Bentonville church, according to Nathan Smith, Benton County prosecutor.

Keenan Hord was arrested Thursday night and has been booked into the Benton County Detention Center. He is facing charges that include sexual assault and possessing sexually explicit material involving a child.

A judge set a cash bond of $500,000 in the case. During the bond hearing, county prosecutors said there are potentially more than thirty victims.

The Roys Report reports:

After a hearing Friday afternoon, Hord faces multiple charges including second-degree sexual assault, possessing sexually explicit material involving a child and sexual indecency with a minor, according to an affidavit of probable cause for bond.

The affidavit states that authorities seized Hord’s phone during their investigation, and after that, Hord left his home and didn’t return. He was arrested just after buying a prepaid phone 30 miles south of Bentonville, according to the affidavit.

Scripture warns us that Satan is a roaring lion, always seeking someone he can devour. His only intention is to steal, kill, and destroy. We must keep our guard up and draw near to the Lord. In doing so, He promises to draw near to us.

All of the alleged victims are boys.
