Mark Finchem — a poster child for election deniers following the 2020 election — is inching closer to becoming the chief election official in one of the most tightly divided battleground states in the country. Finchem, an Arizona state lawmaker, is running with Trump’s endorsement in Tuesday’s GOP primary for secretary of state there.

Should he win on Tuesday, Finchem will become the latest member of the “America First Secretary of State Coalition” to secure the Republican nomination in a key battleground, putting them a general election win away from running the 2024 presidential vote in their states.

Finchem first appeared on JMG in February 2022 when he claimed that COVID does not exist and that the vaccine is fatal to everybody after two years.

Finchem, a self-proclaimed Oath Keeper, attended the Capitol Riot but claims he never entered the building.

Finchem has claimed that infamous incidents involving white supremacists, such as the 2017 Nazi rally in Charlottesville, are actually “deep state” plots coordinated by the FBI.

In 2018, Finchem authored a bill that would have Arizona teachers fired if they discussed “controversial topics” like racial equality and LGBTQ rights in their classrooms.

Finchem and other Arizona officials have been subpoenaed by the January 6th committee for their roles in the fake electors plot.
