PA Pastor Pleads Guilty To Recording Sex With Minor

The Delaware County Times reports:

A 72-year-old Chester pastor pleaded guilty Tuesday in Delaware County Court to videotaping a sexual encounter he had with an underage girl during a relationship that lasted from 2018 through 2020.

Edward Lilly, of the 4100 block of Kates Glen Drive in the Boothwyn section of Upper Chichester, entered an open guilty plea to one count of knowingly photographing or videotaping a person under the age of 18 engaging in sexual acts, a felony of the second degree.

Lilly had been facing 10 counts of the same charge, as well as 10 counts of possessing child pornography, also felonies of the second degree. The remaining charges were dismissed under the plea entered Tuesday before Judge Richard N. Cappelli.

Philadelphia’s ABC affiliate reports:

Authorities allege that Lilly, a pastor at the Christian Church of Chester, met the victim at a supermarket in 2017 when she was 16 years old. According to the criminal complaint, Lilly filmed the child during sexual acts and sent and received sexual videos and photos.

Police said the sexual encounters occurred in the park, hotels and a recreation vehicle that he rented. Lilly was a pastor at the Christian Church of Chester, formerly known as the White Rock Christian Church, since 1993.
