Oz Pressed Trump Admin To OK Quack COVID Drug

Mehmet Oz petitioned top White House officials to green light the use of the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine in March of 2020, newly released emails show.

The drug, which never showed any success at fighting Covid-19 in spite of multiple trials, was presented by Oz as a “potential pandemic solution” in emails to Dr. Deborah Birx and others.

In a separate email to Birx, Oz asked to recruit patients for a trial. “I will personally recruit patients and pay for trial,” Oz wrote on March 22, 2020. “We have manpower since elective surgery is canceled. We just need drugs.”

In emails obtained by the House panel, Oz urged Jared Kushner to help rush hydroxychloroquine so patients could immediately receive the drug.
