Republicans in the US Senate are on the verge of betraying us on marriage. The (Dis)Respect for Marriage Act is pending on the floor of the Senate after already having passed the House. This bill imposes gay ‘marriage’ on every state in the country.
It will take 10 Republicans to join with all 50 Democrats to pass this legislation, and already five GOP Senators have indicated they may support the bill.
Please watch our new ad to send a message to Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson and any other Republican US Senator who might be considering voting for this horrendous legislation.
Typical of those who may betray us, Senator Johnson recently told a reporter, “Right now I don’t see any reason why I should oppose it.”
No reason?! How about the 50 million Americans in three dozen states – including the 60% of Wisconsin voters – who went to the polls to put marriage in state constitutions and laws as exclusively one man and one woman?
We can’t let Republicans betray us, their party platform, and 50 million voters. There are three things I need you to do immediately to stop the betrayal.
1. Call Senator Ron Johnson in Wisconsin at 414/276-7282 to let him know you strongly object to his consideration of legislation imposing gay ‘marriage’ on the country and demand that he respect Wisconsin voters and those in every other state with a marriage amendment.
2. Then call your own US Senators at 202/224-3121 with that same message.
