Todd Starnes Furious Over GOP Votes For Marriage Bill

Starnes is very upset about yesterday’s marriage vote:

The House of Representatives voted Tuesday to pass the “Respect for Marriage Act.” It would codify same-sex marriage into law. It’s a free-for-all at the altar these days in America — for better or for worse.

House Freedom Caucus chairman Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) and GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) are counted among those who defied the base of their party and sided with Democrats.

The tide is shifting on culture war issues within the Republican Party. Inside the Beltway, it’s pretty much an open secret that the GOP is liberalizing itself on some key issues.

They’ve made the calculated decision that Evangelicals will never abandon the Republican Party. But if the Establishment is wrong and the Evangelicals bolt, they will never win a national election.

Starnes last appeared on JMG in February 2021 when he attacked “calculating backstabber” Nikki Haley for condemning the Capitol riot. It’s been lovely not to hear from him so much since he got shitcanned by Fox News.
