The Miami New Times reports:
On Wednesday, July 20, following heated comments from advocates and opponents, the School Board of Miami-Dade County rejected two textbooks that have been at the center of a local controversy regarding sex education.
Back on April 13, the board voted to approve the use of Comprehensive Health Skills for Middle School and Comprehensive Health Skills for High School. Opposition to the textbooks came from groups like County Citizens Defending Freedom and Moms for Liberty.
Eulalia Jimenez-Hincapie, chapter chair of Moms for Liberty Miami, has pushed QAnon conspiracy theories online and shared homophobic and transphobic content, including the false rumor that the Uvalde elementary school shooter was a trans woman.

As noted below, the leader of one of the above-named groups is linked to Miami’s far-right Centner Academy, whose QAnon founder appeared on JMG last year when she banned vaccinated teachers because they would “shed” the supposedly poisonous vaccine onto students.
At yesterday’s Miami Dade School Board meeting — which was interrupted by someone yelling that Antifa had infiltrated the board — board members voted 5-4 to reject two sexual education books that conservative groups said were “inappropriate for kids”https://t.co/mf9QxzewQM

The people who persuaded #Florida‘s biggest school board to drop 2 sex ed textbooks turn out to have ties to a controversial private school. The leader has no children in public school. https://t.co/KfKz4nVf9Q via @smbrugal

Not surprisingly, the group that pressured @MDCPS board to eliminate sex/gender ed, @ccdfusa, is a Christian fascist organization: https://t.co/mHEg7D2RIc Its local leaders have ties to the Proud Boys https://t.co/YnFynkskZP
We should speak clearly: these people are our enemy.

And just in case anyone thought “Moms For Liberty” was a group of reasonable concerned parents, here’s Eulalia/M4L posting that the COVID vaxx is “mass genocide” “population control” “a poison altering DNA” and if you give a child vaccine “you should not be a parent.” ?? pic.twitter.com/7u79OMtFJr

A clarification on names: Eulalia is referred to in the article as Eulalia Maria Jimenez but her legal name used for her Mystic Evolution “alternative & holistic health services” therapy business is Eulalia M. Hincapie.
