NPR recaps a moment from yesterday’s hearing:
On Dec. 19, the former president tweeted “Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 election. Big protest in D.C. on january 6th. Be there, will be wild!” This tweet and its message proliferated across right-wing media platforms from print to broadcast, Rep. Jamie Raskin said.
“He is now calling for we the people to take actions and to show our numbers,” said Alex Jones, in a video. “The time for games is over. The time for action is now.”
Matt Bracken, an Infowars commentator, told viewers: “We will only be saved by millions of Americans moving to Washington, occupying the entire area, if necessary, storming into the Capitol…”
