20 GOP Reps Vote Against Human Trafficking Bill

The House overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan bill to support human trafficking victims on Tuesday, with a strong vote of 401-20 backed by both Democratic and Republican Representatives. Among the 20 Republicans who voted against re-authorizing the Frederick Douglass Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2022—legislation that supports programs preventing human trafficking and supporting its victims—was Rep. Matt Gaetz, who’s currently under federal investigation for the alleged sex trafficking of a 17-year-old girl.
