QAnon-Backed Cultist Loses New Jersey House Primary

The right wing New Jersey Globe reports:

The New Jersey Globe projects that Rep. Chris Smith (R-Manchester) has won the Republican primary in the 4th congressional district against several challengers, including Roger Stone-backed podcaster Mike Crispi. As of 10:53 p.m., Smith had 58% of the vote to Crispi’s 37%.

After former President Donald Trump angrily called for a primary challenger to Smith in November 2021, a huge number of candidates announced their campaigns, with Crispi being the most prominent among them.

Crispi got the backing of other Trumpworld figures like former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and retired General Michael Flynn, but his fundraising didn’t take off and the promised endorsement from Trump never came.

Crispi last appeared on JMG when he smashed a ballot drop box with a wrecking ball in a campaign video.

He claims that Smith voted for a “national COVID registry,” which, of course, is not a thing.

Crispi was also endorsed by neo-Nazi Arizona state Sen. Wendy Rogers, QAnon Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, and the white nationalist American Populist Union.
