Father And Son Pastors Charged With Child Sex Crimes

Portland, Oregon’s Fox affiliate reports:

A father and son pair of former church pastors were charged Wednesday with multiple counts of sexual assault of a child.

Scott Huse, 64, made an initial appearance Wednesday on 11 sexual assault of a child counts and one child enticement count. He is being held on a $250,000 cash bond, and returns to court June 10 for a preliminary hearing.

Travis Huse, 42, faces 31 charges, including sexual assault of a child counts and child enticement counts. He is being held on a $1 million cash bond, with a preliminary hearing June 14, court records show.

According to the police, the incidents took place when the pair worked for the Evergreen Christian Academy. The men are described as former Pentecostal pastors, but the linked article doesn’t explain the “former” part.
