Delays And Cancellations Again Snarl US Air Travel

USA Today reports:

More than 1,000 U.S. flights are canceled as of noon on the East Coast Friday with over 2,000 more posting delays.

New York area airports account for nearly a third of cancellations so far, according to FlightAware, which tracks flights in real time.

The headaches come on the heels of one of the worst days yet for travel as the peak summer vacation season heats up. More than 1,750 U.S. flights were canceled Thursday.
